Stephen Finch focuses on producing furniture that not only looks great, but is practical, designed to be enjoyed and built to last a lifetime. Using local Scottish hardwood takes high priority whether it's quarter sawn oak for a drawer front or a character board for a natural edge bookcase.
Stephen likes to use curves and clean crisp lines and also natural edges in his work. Traditional joinery skills are an integral part of what he does - dovetails and wedged tenons in particular. It's all about the details - these are what make each piece unique. Stephen has been designing and making pieces since 2006 and is now based at Newbattle Abbey, Dalkeith.
